"Getting Cracked"

This is a great book, written by a CRNA anesthetist, Jon Frazier. Everyone's brain operates differently. Mine wants *information and I probably should have gotten a degree in research. Is there such a thing? I'm like Johnny Five when a spark of interest hits..."NEED INPUT!!" (Short Circuit movie, 1986.) It's why I felt the pressing need to just blog our way through this unwanted adventure.

The author manages to be funny and encouraging, while sharing his medical journey. It's the What to Expect when You're Expecting for open heart surgery. Steven has yet to read it, but it's here if and when he wants to.

I'll continue to share awesome resources as I find them. Have a beautiful day!

*Have you heard of Strengthsfinder 2.0? It's a pretty incredible tool out there in the business world for individuals to learn their top 5 strengths. I took the test after Steve had to do it for his old pharma job. It's so interesting and powerful, I put our TOP 5 lists on the refrigerator. It helps us to remember how the other is wired - so differently - and that when we don't see eye to eye, it's more often how our brains function and thrive, not sheer obstinance. Taking that test helped me understand why I so often "future think". Anyway, it's fascinating and I highly recommend it for couples, family members, or if you manage people and teams in paid or volunteer positions. I think it can foster more understanding for others and where they operate from in the most succinct, efficient manner.
